The 2008 Christmas Party was hijacked by snow, ice and freezing temperatures, but that didn’t stop a few hearty souls (or maybe that should be fool-hearty souls) from attending.  Paul Barrow joined the Colombo’s at the home of Dave & Liz DuBois for a festive afternoon. With a back drop of Christmas music, we gathered around the Christmas tree with our glasses of wine for a bit of noshing and a lot of gabbing.  Gifts were exchanged, tales were told, and sausage rolls were consumed.  And as the snow silently fell, we bid our goodbyes and made our way home.  It was a lovely afternoon.

We did discuss changing the gift exchange into a “Gifts for Charity” event.  Instead of bringing a gift, we thought it would be nice if each year the hosts of the Christmas Party select a charity that we could donate items to.  Examples could be:  Toiletries for a local women’s shelter, food for a food bank, pet supplies for an animal shelter.  If you have an opinion on this subject matter, please feel free to email the webmasters: zoltar@nwmgtr.org – we would appreciate your feedback.
